Burner domains — two ways to add them

A burner domain is a separate root domain that serves your main site through Proxamail's mirror. You can bring domains you already own, buy new ones in the app, or do both.

A) Use an existing domain (bring your own)

On the Burner domains page, choose "Use existing burner", type your separate burner root (for example brightpath.org) and click Add burner domain. It joins your pool and blacklist monitoring starts right away. When you want to mask links on it, you set its nameservers yourself — see Burner DNS setup.

B) Buy a new domain in the app (registered in your name)

First, fill in your Registrant details once (Settings → Registrant). Registrars require a valid owner contact — Proxamail registers domains in your name, so you own them and can transfer them out anytime.

On the Burner domains page, choose "Buy new burners" and type a name (for example yourbrand). Proxamail shows it across supported extensions plus variations (getyourbrand, yourbrandhq, yourbrand-mail…), each with its price and availability.

Click Add on the ones you want — they go into your cart. Add as many as you like, then click Buy N domains and pay once.

Proxamail registers them in your name and — because it controls the registrar for domains bought this way — sets up DNS and nameservers automatically. They arrive ready for masking; the only thing left is connecting the mirror (see Site mirror & masking).

Bought here vs. brought your own: domains bought in the app get DNS and nameservers configured automatically. Domains you bring yourself need you to set the nameservers at your own registrar (Proxamail shows you exactly which ones) — and their WHOIS privacy is managed by that registrar, not by Proxamail.

Registrant details (needed to buy)

To register a domain in your name, registrars require a valid contact (name, phone, address, country). Fill this in once under Settings → Registrant and Proxamail reuses it for every purchase.

Changing these details later applies only to domains you buy afterwards — domains you already registered keep their original details.

Supported extensions and provisioning time

In-app purchase currently supports .com, .net, .org, .io, .co, .info, .biz and .xyz. Some country extensions (like .us, .eu) need extra registrant data Proxamail doesn't collect yet, so they aren't available for in-app purchase — you can still bring one you bought elsewhere as a "use existing burner" domain.

After payment, each purchased domain is registered in the background — DNS and randomized nameservers are configured, and registrations are spaced out with a short random gap so your pool never shares one fingerprint. Each domain shows Provisioning — 1–8 hours (usually much sooner), then flips to Monitored. It is safe to leave the page; the underlying queue resumes from the last completed step until the domain is ready.
